Pentair Südmo Safety Valves limit the pressure in pressurized units like steam vessels, chemical reactors or storage tanks. The pressure vessel is secured via a vacuum valve against underpressure and via a safety valve against over pressure.
Overpressure protection
In the event of gas venting being blocked or closed off, the maximum strength of the tank can be exceeded under various operating conditions such as filling, overfilling, fermentation, or chemical reactions, which can lead to an explosion. A spring-loaded safety valve, manufactured and verified in accordance with pressure equipment guidelines, is part of the fitting and protects against overpressure.
Vacuum protection
Draining, leaking, chemical reactions, content cooling, or vapor condensation can cause the tank pressure to drop below the minimum if the gas supply or ventilation is blocked or closed off, which can lead to implosion. A spring-loaded or weight-loaded vacuum valve is part of the fitting and protects against vacuum.

Pentair Südmo has not only designed a manually operated Control Valve, but also a membrane operated Control Valve for extremely exact processes that have to be controlled quickly, such as inline dosing of concentrates. We also offer Pentair Südmo Control Valves with SVP actuator and a digital control top as an economical alternative to membrane actuator.
A general advantage of the Pentair Südmo Control Valve design is the fact that SVP units with a digital control top and control membrane with an electropneumatic positioner are interchangeable (even subsequently).
Further the two variants of Mixing and Diverting Control Valves ideally complete the programme. The concept brings together two single control valves to one three way valve. Depending on the requirement and fitted with the appropriate inserts either a mixing of two volume flows or a diverting of one media in two pipelines can be realized.
Südmo Non-return Valves M2010 provide easy to integrate, robust, durable and easy to maintain simple solution that doesn’t require pneumatic actuation or automation.
Pentair Sudmo’s non-return valves feature a hygienic design and use seal materials that conform to FDA requirements. Only O-rings with leak-proof grooves are used in the valves.
The minimum number of sealing elements in the product space, optimum valve plate guidance with outside pins and valve plate centering without additional guidance elements. The Südmo design assures good running properties in flowthrough, long service life and easy maintenance of our non-return valves.
Südmo Constant Pressure Valves T 725 KV are designed for maintaining a reliable, repeatable back pressure on process lines with varying flow rates and viscosities.
Pentair Südmo’s T 725 KV constant pressure valve maintains a manually pre-set static pressure in the valve inlet (input pressure) regardless of the momentary volume flow and well pressure behind the valve. A balanced valve plate, reliable sealing equipment in housing and the robust design without any dead spaces make this valve a simple and reliable unit.
The hygienic Pentair Südmo constant pressure valve keeps the input pressure to the valve on a constant level. That means that it can be used on separators, heat exchangers or similar process equipment that require a constant pressure level to work correctly. Beyond this, it can be used in extraction loops to guarantee a constant pressure level. This makes it ideal for applications in the beverage and food industries.
